ECRB Sets Out Its Priority Action Plan for the Next 12 Months

Today, the Energy Community Regulatory Board (ECRB) published its 2017 Work Programme. The work programme builds on the ECRB’s successful regulatory cooperation in the areas of wholesale and retail gas and electricity markets. It also reflects the ECRB’s new tasks and responsibilities under Regulation 347/2013 on guidelines for trans-European energy infrastructure and the Third Energy Package.

The ECRB President Branislav Prelević said: “Several challenges lie ahead of us this year, including Third Package network codes and guidelines. Their implementation in the Energy Community will require regulators to reshape their modes of operation and explore new ways of cross-border cooperation. We are ready to meet these challenges head on. The ECRB is committed to strengthening its role as an independent voice in the context of strategic regional energy market developments. The expertise of our members serves as a bridge between the technical needs of the regulated industry and the interests of energy consumers”.
